What it is
In this case, transcription means taking handwritten or spoken words and typing them up so that they can be printed, or used online.
What it is not
This is not a translation service. While I can sign well enough for a conversation, I’m not a qualified interpreter. I can create a transcript from English audio, but not from BSL only.
What I need from you
The work you want transcribed in any of the following formats: Handwritten notes (no shorthand), audio (cassette tape, CD, wav or mp3), or braille (grade 1 or grade 2). For video transcription, please upload the video to a sharing site (such as YouTube or Vimeo).
For meetings, please let me have the agenda (if possible). For all transcription work, please give me a clearly written list of any names, jargon, or specialist phrases.
What you get
I can make:
- A transcript for a video or audio file
- Subtitles for a video
- A digital version of handwritten or typed writing
- …and more
Prices start at £15 per 500 words of typed or handwritten material, or £1.25 per minute of audio or video. Discounts may apply. Each job is unique though, so click the button in the menu above to request a quote.
